Art lives and breathes in all of us if we choose to look, arts surrounds us. All we do in our worlds from the chalk drawings we all enjoy as kids to the sculptures of marble in Europe, the colors and craftsmanship are meant to inspire and encourage us. Art allows us to experience joy, and inspire others. Joy and movement is ever present and changes constantly, similar to how waters flow through the world, as blood moves through our body. The consistency in the flowing is ever changing. As a child, playing in the rain brought endless joy, minutes whisked away as we got wetter and wetter before getting home. The feeling I had walking the streets then and now feels the same and different all at once. So many more should’ve, could’ve, would’ve’s. My mind fights to step out of the flow… guilt, shame, schedules, tasks, all worked their way into the cracks and crevices for some time.
I have been looking for a job, a difficult task at all ages; selling ourselves can come easy for some and be difficult for others. I’ve been blessed to work a large array of jobs, and look forward to that array of job tasks I will do with future work. When Chris and I dated in our 20’s, I can recall Chris not wanting to go to Paint Your Pottery with me, instead our crew was more appealing. So down DICKSON we drank and danced and carried the night away.
So many moons later, and I now have a new full time job that is inspiring and joyful. I work at Community Creative Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Come check it out and develop your flow, flow on down the road to create and practice your next new-found hobby.
