Music, storytelling, dance, and community come together September 4–6, 2025, as Eureka Springs hosts the 78th Original Ozark Folk Festival. Known as one of the oldest folk festivals in America, this year’s event celebrates Ozark heritage with a packed lineup of bluegrass, folk, and Americana talent, plus workshops, crafts, and the unmistakable charm of Eureka Springs.

Three Nights of Music at The Auditorium

Each evening, the historic Eureka Springs City Auditorium will come alive with world-class performances:

  • Thursday, September 4 – The Barefoot Ball featuring Front Porch and Patti Steel, carrying on a beloved tradition of foot-stomping fun.

  • Friday, September 5 – The HillBenders joined by the soulful duo Handmade Moments.

  • Saturday, September 6 – Festival headliners The Ozark Mountain Daredevils alongside the powerful sounds of The Steel Wheels.

The festival kicks off with The Hedgehoppers and celebrated songwriting duo Still on the Hill—a fitting opening for a weekend built on storytelling through music.

Free Music & Folk Fair in Basin Spring Park

During the day, Basin Spring Park will be the heart of the celebration. From 11 AM to 6 PM on Friday and Saturday, enjoy the Ozark Folk Fair, where artisans will showcase pottery, instruments, art, and more. Free live music fills the park with performances by The Mountain Gypsies, March to August, Matt Axton & Bad Moon, Mountain Alice, Meadow Makers, The Creek Rocks, and more.

Don’t miss the Singer-Songwriter Contest, where emerging voices compete on stage, and winners are announced live on Friday afternoon.

Dance the Weekend Away

New this year, the festival brings more chances to move your feet:

  • Old Time Square Dance Workshop with Steve Green (Auditorium Lower Level).

  • Community Square Dance in Basin Park with The Old 78s.

  • Jig Dance & Traditional Percussion Workshop on Saturday morning.

Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or brand new, these workshops and community dances promise joy and connection through tradition.

Why Eureka Springs?

The setting is as much a part of the festival as the music. Nestled in the Ozark Mountains, Eureka Springs offers winding streets, Victorian charm, and natural beauty that provide the perfect backdrop for three days of music and celebration. Between shows, visitors can explore local shops, cafes, and scenic trails—all just steps from the festival action.

Plan Your Weekend

The Ozark Folk Festival isn’t just a music event—it’s a celebration of heritage, creativity, and community. Whether you come for the big names at The Auditorium, the free park shows, or the chance to square dance under the trees, you’ll leave with stories, songs, and memories that last a lifetime.
